Image Bearers

I had some thoughts this morning. Genesis 1:27 says "so God created man in the image of God created he him, in his own image created he him; male and female created he them." KJV And again Genesis 5:1 & 2 says, "This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created." (KJV). I was also thinking about Colossians 1:26 & 27 which says, "Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:"(KJV). In particulary, I was wondering what are the implications of the Genesis scriptures and what do both, the Genesis and Colossian scriptures mean for me? Just throwing out some questions to think about. I'm still processing these verses, but, I believe they are somehow related. More on this later.
